Volunteer Centre Angus

Making it easier for people to volunteer

Volunteer Centre Angus is managed by local volunteers. We aim to ensure that anyone who wants to volunteer is supported and encouraged to do so.

Our premises:

Volunteer Centre Angus main office is situated at 32-34 Guthrie Port, Arbroath.

Within our premises we have a training room which can accommodate 25-30 people for training events and 40-50 people for meetings or AGMs.

We also have a smaller meeting/training room which accommodates up to 16 people. Both rooms are fitted with projector screens, white boards and flip charts.

We are fully accessable for wheelchairs and have unisex disabled toilet facilities.
Organisations and community groups are welcome to get the use of the facilities and details of booking and costs can be obtained from staff at the Volunteer Centre.

What we do:

  • Provide information and support which helps people to make their own informed choices regarding the type of volunteering they want to do.
  • Support people to take the initial steps into volunteering, by arranging visits and informal meetings.
  • Provide training which helps with pre-volunteering skills.
  • Work with organisations to ensure that volunteers get the best possible experience.
  • Are active in recruiting, supporting and matching volunteers in all areas of Angus through local volunteer information points.
  • Develop on-line and up to date volunteer information and opportunities through our Website.

Volunteer Centre Angus works with organisations and agencies to help identify volunteer opportunities and to ensure that volunteers enjoy the best possible experience. We ask organisations to register with us and to provide details of volunteer opportunities. This helps us to provide potential volunteers with the information and diversity of choice.

There are Volunteer Centres which operate across Scotland You can find your local Scottish Volunteer Centre here. If you are looking for a Volunteer Centre elsewhere in the UK check out www.navb.org.uk.
