Sport Volunteering

Why volunteer in Sport?

Volunteering in sport is a great way to socialise, be part of a team, gain new skills and increase your confidence. You don’t even have to be sporty to get involved.......there are a wide range of opportunities to volunteer in sport
From sports at the grassroots level to elite performers, volunteers play an extremely important role, be this introducing the nine year old to the sport for the first time, providing ongoing support and coaching or ensuring that the clubs in which we participate continue to thrive. Volunteers are an essential part of sport throughout Angus and Scotland as a whole.

“Volunteer Centre Angus offers support for all sports clubs with regards to training, recruitment and retention of volunteers while working in partnership with agencies such as sports development, SportTayside and Fife, Angus College and many more. By working collaboratively we aim to ensure that the needs of the volunteering in sport are met and that there are sufficient opportunities available for everyone – no matter their background or experience.”
